Halloween

My Pumpkin

Halloween Party

Gabriel on the way there: A skeleton with a knife.
Roman as Kasper Wolfswinkle from Abarat when we first got there.

There was a scarecrow building contest: Me, Serra, Harper, Cosette, E, and Quinn vs. Mark, Brai, Saren, Breeana and A. The other kids there didn't want to be in it, but Gino was one of the judges. We won because the other team's scarecrow fell apart. Then they had the grown-up contest, which ended up with only one team. They made a girl frankeinstein's monster with a beard. (picture above)

Me and Breeana at the Halloween Party, Breeana as a witch and me as the Halloween Queen.
The Halloween Party was really fun, we went bobbing for apples (and after Gino got spit and snot all in the bucket the water got changed) And then made Caramel Apples covered in chopped nuts. The first thing we did was go into Adrian's Room, where we felt 'bodyparts' the worst the heart, which was a Kombucha Mother that drank red dye, and then hid and scared the others who came in. We played a mummy wrapping game, too. Gino and Carter both got all wrapped up, but my team lost to Mark's anyway because people kept getting in the way of the wrappers. But it was fun too. And there were lots of good food dishes, Buggy Pasta, Quick Peanut Butter Cookies, veggies, homemade bread and more. (Go to page 2 of my blog, link is above, to see the recipe for Buggy Pasta and Quick Peanut Butter Cookies)

Daddy's Birthday

On Daddy's Birthday, I got him a Halloween bucket full of sugar-free candy, because Halloween is his favorite holiday but he's not eating sugar or milk. I also got him a puzzle with a picture of a barn and tree covered in snow that was really hard. It takes around 3 days to finish! Mommy got Daddy a thing that mesures how far you run called a Ped-O-Meter, for when he jogs around the block. Gabriel painted an amazing modern art picture, Roman made Daddy a knitted bookmark with beads on the end, and Gino got Daddy a carved Butt Soap-soap shaped like a butt to wash your butt. For his cake, I made a fruit tower that had apples, strawberries, oranges, raspberries and freeze dried mango. There was a candle on the top and on the four apples on the bottom. After we sang, it was gone within 10 minutes!

The Art Fest

Right next to the Halloween Festival next to whole foods, there was an Art Fest. We were all dancing to some music in this field. Here is Gino, Keegan and Roman

Whole Foods Halloween Fest

We went to the Whole Foods Halloween Fest. There was the decorate your own pumpkins. I made a vampire-frankinstein's monster-zombie thing pumpkin. Gino and Gabriel both made one eyed mummies. Quinn made a one eyed frankenstein's monster. Keegan and Roman didn't want to make any, but later Roman decided to make a big-nosed witch.
The hay maze was really fun. Here are Roman and Keegan in it. Gino invented this game called Maze Monsters, which we all played. It was like tag except the person who was IT had to stay ontop of the hay and the others could go in or ontop.

Here are me and Quinn making our pumpkins.

Spring Mountain Ranch Halloween Day

We went to Spring Mountain Ranch, a place near Red Rock, to go to thier Halloween. Day. We went with Keegan, Quinn, Ms. Rachel and Mr. Jim. There was supposed to be a Pumpkin Carving contest, but they said they were out of pumpkins so they ended it some hours earlier than planned. While waiting for the Ghost Storytelling and campfire, we all went hiking. The picture above is Gino and Gabriel playing in the place the boys called 'the beach party'
When the trail was blocked off and we came to the edge of a cliff, we found a way down. "Hello up there!" Here is me, Roman, Gino and Quinn. Keegan wasn't in the picture, and Daddy helped Gabriel down soon after this picture was taken. When Daddy and Gabriell came down, we all walked toward the left and followed the stream. We found two places with huge puddles of water attached to the stream, the places that ended up called the beach parties because there was sand there. Once Ms. Rachel, Mommy and Mr. Jim caught up, we climbed a hill and went through some barbed wire to get back for the ghost stories. Unfortunately, the storyteller was sick, so they only has s'mores and a fire. We did eat some s'mores, and they tasted good. Roman's caught on fire!

Taekwon-Do

At Taekwon-Do, I learned up to 3 in the reverse attacks. Later in sparring, I did great. Here's me sparring Courtney.

Lifelearners at the Bighorn Sheep park

Here is a bighorn sheep in a rock!
Here is us at the park. Adrian traded a stack of cards for my Mewtwo, and i'm really happy! We rode down this hill on the flying turtles, taking turns, which was really fun. When you get to the bottom you go off the edge of the path and into a path, like a ramp. It was cool!

Here is a rock house-wall-thing I made. Quinn made the path and E put the rocks around the path, but I did the rest. Mitchel was chasing the bighorn sheep away, but one time when they came back, they brought the Big Daddy, a bighorn sheep with horns as big as Mitchel! He didn't chase them after he saw that, and begged for forgiveness from the sheep. He hid whenever they came near and looked at him!

Halloween Costumes

Gino, the Dancing Alien Leprechun who he named Pooky.
Me as the Halloween Queen. I cut some long pants and added spider web stuff to it for my shorts.

The belt, the boots, the net leggings and the shorts are all from Salvation Army, while the shirt and cloack are from the Ren Fest, one here, one from Maryland. Roman is Casper Wolswinkle from Abarat, and Gabriel is a skeleton with a knife.

School

I haven't posted about school so far, so I will now. This grade i've done around 12 pages of math, maybe more. I've studied cavepeople, dire wolves, mesopotamia and Ziggurats. I'm now starting on stuff about presant day animals. I've drawn pictures and printed out pictures for each lesson, and I wrote about the sumerians in letters based on the sumerian's letters made of shapes and wedges. I wrote pages from a 'diary' about a person who was taken back in time and turned into a caveperson. I made a short spear. I drew a picture of a Ziggurat, and pointed out the parts of one. I've read almost all my school books, only Robin Hood and the rest of Greek Myths to go. And i've written my vocabulary words out and written thier meaning. The next thing to do is learn about the Babylonians and write a list of animals.

More pictures at the aqarium

Here is the sea lion underwater picture I wrote about before, it was like it was standing up!
here is a giant Sea Slug in a tank. Easily as long as my hand!
Here is me touching a sea anemone that turned into a ball that looked like a pincushion. It also shows some really amazing sea stars.

In California at the aqarium with Daddy

I went to California on the weekend with daddy to go see a soccar game, LA Galaxy was playing. We also went to the aquarium. Here is a picture of a humomgous sting ray, about as big as a king sized bed!
Here is a shark we saw. We saw a bull shark too, and petted a spotted shark.

Here is a Sea Lion. We have a picture of him under water, too!

Renaissance Festival

Me, Roman, Mommy, Daddy, Gino and Gabriel joined Ms. Rachel and Keegan and Quinn and Ms. Dharma and Breeana (Mitchel and Carter didn't come) to go to the Ren Fest. Here is one knight at the jousting show, which was really funny.
Here is us with Keegan at the jousting show. Quinn and Breeans didn't watch the knight show untill the end, they were watching Belly Dancing. We also went to a parrot show. One landed on Ms. Dharma's head!

Lifelearners at a great park!

We had a great time at Lifelearners, the last one on Wedsday. We probably made up more games then ever on a park day! Here they are: A game that was never named but i'll just call it slappers, Another game where the sand scooping things that looked like the scooping end of a backhoe were a sand dragon and a sand cow. We rode on them and the people who weren't on them 'fed' them sand, which they would fling at the other animal. Then we switched, and the people who had wanted to be the creatures were Brai, Me, A, Saren and Mark. Later, Gino, Me, Roman, Saren, Mark, Brai and A played a game where we were all either magical beings (Shape shifters, elves, fairies, ect) or magical creatures (Dragons, wolves, grifffens ect) who had a special power of an element (water, fire, wind, earth and lightning)
about 2 hours before we left, Me, Gino, Roman, Adrian, Keegan, Mitchel, Quinn, Breeana, Carter, Zeb, A and Saren all played a game called bodygaurds, where me, Breeana, Quinn, Saren and Alex were to gaurd Gino, who had to run away from Mitchel, Zeb, Roman, Keegan, Carter and Adrian. Everyone who hadn't left yet were playing the game, and we had an awesome time! I hope that lifelearners will be at this park again, soon!

Mail from Elena, Julianna, Ms. Petra and Mr. Bart

We got a package full of candy from Falkenburg, and a elf with wings on a horse each! Thanks to the Smyths!

Gabriel's 4th Birthday

Gabriel was thrilled with his new bike, his leapster, his place mat, a Star Wars set, and of course, his Yoda Lightsaber Replica!
and he loved his base ball diamond cake, too!

Gino's 6th Birthday

Gino excited to see that he got a Star Wars toy set of Sandpeople (Also called Tusken Raiders)
an Eye Clops, a microscope that plugs into the TV and shows everything under it 10 x (look at someone's leg!) a woodan bike, a pull-toy frog, and the Star Wars Lego Imperial Star Destroyer!

Halloween RULES!

I love Halloween. Sometimes, I start to plan Halloween in the summer! Here is a picture of a great Halloween book I got when I was nine, and still have now. I decorated my room for Halloween, and when Keegan and Quinn and Mitchel and Carter came over for a DS party (last post) they helped me decorate even more, getting out the fog machine and hanging up spooky torn black streamers. Another day, on book club, Adrain and Josh helped me out to decorate, we put on spooky music, added orange lights under the piano, put battery-powered white lights under the tomb stones, and me and Josh made a new tomb stone, reading:
In loving memory of Yulbee Gon
Our love stays true, even in DEATH
It is the best looking tomb stone in my room, and with the fog and the lights off and the glowing from under the tomb stones, my room looks awesomely creepy. Later Adrian went into Elvis's crate and made banging and scratching noises. If only I could find the projector, i'd project a ghost into my room.....

DS lite party on Friday

On Friday we had a DS lite party. Mitchel, Carter, Keegan and Quinn were there; Breeana and Zeb couldn't come. Roman traded with Keegan, his Empoleon for Keegan's Roselia, which was a higher level. Me, Quinn, Gino and Keegan decorated my room even more for Halloween, and we got the smoke machine to work! My room looks awesome! Ms. Darleen changed her name to Ms. Dharmez. I helped Keegan and Quinn with their blogs, and told Ms. Rachel how to add music to her blog. Later, after they left, I helped Roman start his own blog, at

www.romanspokeblog.blogspot.com

It offers advice in the Pokemon videogames. Daddy saw a big ghost pirate decoration at Costco, I want to see it sometime!

End of the month tournament

Here's me doing Joong-Gun (Prononced 'Chung-Gun') in the end of the month practice tournament for Taekwon-Do. I came in 4th, but 2 out of 3 judges missed my opponent mess up twice, so if the silly judges had gone with Cassie (the other and best judge) I would have come in 1st or 2nd. In sparring I came in 2nd, I beat a yellow stripe but lost to a blackbelt who was one of the judges and was really big. But he backed away when I got in close, next time I know how to beat him.

At Redrock with the Lifelearners on Roman's Birthday

Gino loving his life and making the famous 'Gino Face'
On the Rock
under the tree-growing-out-of-the-rock talking about their Halloween coustumes.

Roman's Birthday

A Pokemon game for Roman's new DS lite!
"Maleficent...So I can beat her up with a keyblade!

Just jokeing...."

I finished the Taekwon-do Movie

I finished the movie I talked about earlier. Its on youtube, and i'll post it on my blog soon.

Thursday, September 13, 2007

Today I'm making a Taekwon-Do movie. I'm combinding lots of sparring flims and adding music. I hope its good! The photo below is of me doing a 1-Step.

Lifelearners

Yesterday we went to Lifelearners. We bought some battery-powered shark water guns. At Lifelearners, me, Gino, Gabriel, Mark, Alex, Brai, Breeana and Saren played a game with the water guns thats kind of like capture the flag. Me Mark, Gino and Gabriel were on one team and had the big playground, and Alex, Brai, Breeana and Saren were on the other team and got the little playground. Here's how to play it: Each team gets two water guns and any other water-shooting or splashing weapon they can find. The blue part of the ground was the water and the brown part was the land. The object of the game was to get all the other team's water weapons, if they come into your boundries you can squirt water at them and then tag them, so then they have to be captured. If you capture someone with a water gun, they your team gets to have the water gun. The team I was on captured Brai, Saren and Breeana. I got Saren and Breeana. We thought we had all the water guns and stuff, so we went to try to get Alex to come over so we could capture her and it turned out her team had had a secret weapon: A bag full of icy water! Alex dumped the bag of ice on Mark and once it my empty, it didn't count as a weapon anymore because it was just a bag, so our team won! Then Gabriel lost mommy's 'I Love To Be Hugged' key chain and I went looking for it but couldn't find it. After that, Me, Gino, Saren, Mark, Brai, Gabriel, Alex and Breeana played get past the swing, where two people were on the swings and everyone else tried to run past without getting hit. When I was on the swing, I hit Saren and she went flying, but didn't get hurt and thought it was fun. Roman, Mitchel, Zeb and Carter played Pokemon the whole time, and Serra, Harper and Emma played on scooters and in the water the whole time. Gino and me taught Mark how to play Coridor, and Alex, Brai, Saren and Breeana played wedding with with Coridor pieces. Before we left, Gabriel threw his squirt gun over a hill in anger because it didn't have any water in it and couldn't refill it, so we had to look all over the place for it! Some kids watching soccar told us they'd seen it, and we found it where they said it was, at the bottom of a big hill. Mommy's key chain was still lost, but right before we left Mark stepped on it on the way to his car and he gave it to her.

There is me when I was awarded my blue belt.

Press pause while i'm in the air, and it looks like i'm sky-walking above Jack's head.

Here is me today right before I was given my blue belt, doing a

flying side kick on the wall and a turning kick on the pad. If

you press pause at the right moment, it'll look like I am walking on air

with my head high above Jack, the black belt's, head and my feet a little higher

then his belt. People ask, "how do you do that?" And I just say, "I just do a

flying side kick and then a turning kick, and I jump high. It's easy!" they think that

I won't let them in on the secret, but there really isn't one!
